I hold a 17 game Phillies season ticket plan (Section 145, if you want to stop by and buy me a beer!), I've traveled to 14 different major league ballparks, I've been to the Hall of Fame three times, I've been doing fantasy baseball since 1995, I play on three softball teams, and I've collected more baseball memorabilia/merchandise than I could possibly know what to do with.
I've been called a lot of things in my life, but the one thing you will never hear me call myself is an expert. No, in my opinion, "experts" have no place in blogging. I plan to share with you an incredibly amateur opinion on baseball as often as I see fit: Sometimes daily, sometimes monthly. And I fully expect you to disagree. Here are three statements I've been known to turn into pub-arguments every few months...
- Barry Bonds is the greatest baseball player to ever play the game.
- Frank Thomas was the best all around hitter of the 90s.
- Steroids are no more of an advantage than the hundreds of other advancements in the game: Maple bats, batting gloves, specialized mitts, synthetic fields, retractable roofs, etc.
Thanks for checking out my site and I hope you enjoy!
