Brown's Hand, Utley's knee, Roy's Arm.

Well, there goes that problem... Domonic Brown is likely out 3-6 weeks (and may not be 100% for 12-18 months) after breaking his hand during his first at bat today. The good news: He finally got a hit and broke an 0 for 15 spring slump. The bad news: He's likely headed to AAA to start the season.

That leaves you with Ben Francisco as your opening day right fielder. Now he's no Jayson Weth, but he's certainly a capable ball player. In fact, the PECOTA projections that are released every year have Brown and Francisco with almost identical production for 2011. So far this spring, Francisco has been raking. He's the right handed bat that we need in the lineup and he hits lefties pretty well. No need to panic.

Chase Utley had a cortisone shot in his right knee. It'll take a few days to find out if it works, but this is certainly not good news. Wilson Valdez filled in fine for Jimmy Rollins, but taking over for Utley would be a whole different story. I'm no doctor, but I'm fairly certain that properly functioning knees are important for baseball players. Michael Young and his $16M salary are looking more and more tempting by the minute. This one does make me panic.

Why do I include Roy Halladay and his arm in the title of his post? Not because he's injured too, but because he's officially been named your opening day starter! Dubee also announced the order as everyone expected Halladay/Lee/Oswalt/Hamels/Blanton. Brett Myers v. Roy Halladay in three weeks and six days! Can't beat it!
